Sunshine Room
The Sunshine Room is our cozy, nurturing space for the youngest members of our school community—children ages 2 to 3. For many, this is their very first experience in a school setting, and our primary focus is on helping them navigate the important developmental milestone of separation. With patience, consistency, and care, we support each child in building trust with their teachers and gaining confidence in being apart from their parents or caregivers.
As children settle into the routine of the classroom, we gently introduce them to the rhythms of group life—learning how to participate in shared activities, listen to stories, enjoy snack time with friends, and engage in simple routines. Through play, song, movement, and warm interactions, we begin to foster a joyful connection to school and a budding love of learning.
In the Sunshine Room, our goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment where children feel secure, seen, and supported as they take their first steps into the larger world of community, discovery, and growth.
Friends Room
The Friends Room is a warm, welcoming classroom designed specifically for our 3- to 4-year-old learners. At this age, children are beginning to navigate the world of friendships, routines, and group learning—often for the first time. Our program is thoughtfully centered on social-emotional development, providing the foundation young children need to feel confident, secure, and ready to grow.
In the Friends Room, we focus on helping children recognize and express their feelings, practice empathy, and develop the skills to build positive relationships with peers and teachers. Through guided play, small group activities, and daily classroom routines, children learn how to share, take turns, solve problems, and communicate effectively with others.
We know that this age is a time of tremendous growth—not just emotionally, but cognitively and physically as well. While social-emotional learning is at the heart of our curriculum, we also support early language development, motor skills, and curiosity through rich play experiences, storytelling, art, and exploration.
Above all, the Friends Room is a place where children feel known, supported, and celebrated as they take these important early steps into the wider world of school and friendships.
Rainbow Room
The Rainbow Room is a vibrant and nurturing classroom designed to meet the developmental and academic needs of our Pre-K and Kindergarten students. Depending on where children will attend school the following year, the Rainbow Room provides a flexible and individualized approach that ensures every student is prepared for their next educational step—whether that’s kindergarten or first grade in either independent or public school settings.
Our curriculum is rooted in strong academic instruction and enriched with engaging experiences in science exploration and social studies. Students build foundational skills in early literacy, mathematics, and critical thinking through hands-on activities and thoughtful, structured lessons. Alongside academics, we place a strong emphasis on social-emotional development. Our students learn to express themselves, collaborate with peers, and build independence in a supportive and inclusive environment.
In the Rainbow Room, learning is joyful, purposeful, and carefully aligned with developmental milestones. We foster curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning that prepares children to thrive in their future classrooms—and beyond.
